Brandermill is the first planned community (1974) for East West Communities, known at the time as The Brandermill Group. In 1977, Brandermill was recognized by Better Homes and Gardens as the "Best Planned Community in America." Some of the ammeneties in Brandermill include: Boating, Pools, Parks, Pavillions, Playgrounds, Trails and more! Swift Creek Reservoir is surrounded by Brandermill on one side and Woodlake (another East West community) on the other. It is a 1,700 acre lake, great for fishing, sailing / boating (electric motors only), swimming and overall enjoyment. There is an annual fireworks display every 4th of July, over the lake!
